Yes, if your child attends school near one of our sites, they can schedule therapy sessions during the school day. We understand the importance of convenience and will work with you to find a time that fits into their school schedule.
-
Yes, you can refer someone to therapy other than yourself. We accept referrals from individuals, family members, friends, healthcare providers, schools, and other community organizations. If you know someone who could benefit from therapy, you can recommend they seek help and provide them with information on how to connect with a member of our team.

For children under 12: Yes. We require a signed consent form from a legal guardian before the first session. This document outlines what you can expect from therapy and how we protect your child’s privacy.
Youth 12 and Older: Per Colorado state law (HB 19-1120), youth aged 12+ may legally consent to their own outpatient mental health treatment. While we honor their right to privacy, our philosophy is rooted in connection. We work closely with our older youth to build a bridge of communication, helping them feel ready and empowered to involve their caregivers in their healing journey. -
Our clinicians adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines. Generally, what your child discusses in therapy is kept confidential between the therapist and your child, unless there are safety concerns or specific circumstances that require communication with you. However, therapists typically provide general updates about progress and treatment plans while respecting the privacy and trust established with your child. If you have specific questions about how information is shared, it's best to discuss this directly with the therapist at the beginning of therapy.
-
Everything you discuss in your sessions is confidential. However, as mandated reporters and licensed professionals, there are three specific "safety nets" where we are required by law to share information:
Harm to Self or Others: If there is an imminent risk of physical danger.
Abuse or Neglect: If we suspect a child, senior, or vulnerable person is being mistreated.
Legal Mandates: If we receive a direct court order from a judge.
Everything else stays between us. If you ever want us to coordinate care with your doctor or another professional, we will only do so with your explicit, signed consent.
-
While we strive to match clients with their preferred clinician, we cannot guarantee the availability of specific therapists. If your preferred clinician is unavailable, the team member conducting your initial screening will offer you the choice to see another therapist or to be placed on a waiting list for the next available appointment with your preferred clinician.

You don't need to know exactly what you're having a hard time with before starting therapy. It's common for people to feel unsure about their specific issues. Your therapist will help you explore your thoughts and feelings, identify any underlying concerns, and work with you to develop a plan tailored to your needs. The important thing is to take that first step toward getting support.
-
The length of time you'll be in therapy varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Some people may benefit from a few sessions, while others might find longer-term therapy more helpful. Your therapist will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan and will regularly review your progress to determine the appropriate duration of therapy.
-
The frequency of your therapy sessions will depend on your individual needs and treatment plan. Typically, clients meet with their therapist once a week, but some may benefit from more frequent sessions, while others may meet biweekly or monthly. Your therapist will work with you to determine the best schedule to support your goals and progress.
-
You have the option to meet with your therapist either in person or virtually. We offer both in-person sessions at our locations and virtual sessions via secure online platforms to accommodate your preferences and needs. You can choose the format that works best for you.
-
Our clinicians do not prescribe medication. However, we can work closely with your primary care physician or a psychiatrist who can assess your need for medication and manage prescriptions if necessary. We can also provide referrals to trusted medical professionals who can assist with medication management.

Walking into your first session can feel like a big step, but we’re here to make it a comfortable one. Think of this first meeting as a "get to know you" session where we lay the groundwork for your growth. Here is the roadmap:
A Warm Welcome: We’ll start by settling in and taking care of any quick housekeeping or paperwork.
Sharing Your Story: Your therapist will ask gentle questions to understand what brings you in, your history, and the challenges you're facing.
Mapping Your Goals: We’ll talk about what "better" looks like for you. Together, we’ll set clear goals so you have a sense of direction from day one.
Building the Plan: Before we wrap up, we’ll discuss how often we’ll meet and what our collaborative "game plan" looks like moving forward.
Our priority is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and—most importantly—safe.

To provide the best possible care to all our clients, we ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer that time slot to someone else who may be waiting for care.
Late Cancellations: If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or miss an appointment, a cancellation fee may apply.
Rescheduling: We are happy to reschedule your session within the notice period at no extra cost, based on your clinician’s availability during their standard working hours.
Life Happens: We understand that emergencies and sudden illnesses occur. In these rare cases, please reach out to us as soon as possible, and we may waive the fee.
Clear communication helps us keep our focus where it belongs: on your wellness journey.
